Excursion to the gorges "Skazka" and "Barskaun"
+ rocky shore of Issyk-Kul
+ bathing in hot springs.

I invite you to go from Karakol along the southern coast of Issyk Kul to the Skazka and Barskaun gorges.
The road from Karakol to Skazka will take approximately two to two and a half hours.
From the roadway, the canyon does not seem so picturesque, but it is worth walking a couple of kilometers, and the landscape of cliffs and rare stunted bushes gives way to the relief of multi-colored mountains.
Here, sandstone eruptions take on all sorts of shapes of ancient castles and fairy-tale monsters. The Skazka Canyon is a real natural monument, but it has only recently become known as a natural wonder. It is not shrouded in legends and myths, since for ancient people the primary factor was the practicality and fertility of the soil, not aesthetics.
Here you will see a canyon called the "Chinese Wall" 5 kilometers long, it seems to guard the peace of sleeping castles and amazing animals created by nature itself from red clay and sandstone - elephants, hippos, snakes and some completely unseen animals. And at the turn to this magical corner there is a beautiful wild beach, where even in winter you can swim in the beautiful Issyk-Kul. From here there is an incredible view of the majestic panorama of the lake and the blue caps of the mountains.
Here we will have a picnic and go further into the Barskaun gorge to see the frozen waterfalls.
The journey from Skazka to Barskaunskie waterfalls will take about 1 hour. The walk to the waterfall is another hour.
One of the most famous is "Tears of the Bars". In addition to the "Tears of the Bars" waterfall, we will also see the frozen "Bowl of Manas" waterfall. In the middle part of the gorge there is a monument to the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who loved this place very much and rested in a nearby military sanatorium
After walking around we will head back to Karakol.
Also on the way we will visit hot springs where we will swim and relax after the excursion. In the evening upon arrival we will have dinner in an ethno cafe and return to the guest house
